[Info-vax] PL/1 on VMS

Hi everyone

I'm back into IT again, I've still got the coffee shop but my plan was
always to get back into consultancy and where better to start than the
VMS community!

So along those lines I have a potential opportunity and I'm looking
for advice/help from the group. I'm advising a group of people are are
looking to buy a software company whose key product is essentially a
language translator (i.e. Cobol to Java, Assmebler to c# etc.),
according to the company they can pretty much take any input and spit
out the required platform independent code. At this point in time I'm
assuming the product does as it says on the can (we are running
seperate technical evaluations) and so I'm concentrating on business
oppportunities and while thinking where would be a good place to start
I suddenly thought about the VMS PL/1 base who when I worked for the
VMS group tended to feel a bit uncomfortable regarding the way forward
for their applications. So I wondered would this product be of
interest to those customers, I know Kerry Main used to get involved
with some of them, so Kerry if you are reading this forum get in
touch, but if there are others out there who have an opinion or some
advice then please get in touch I'd appreciate hearing from you.
