I would guess that the wait would wait for 20 hrs in the second
example.  Why?  The space is ignored.  Further examination of the DCL
source would tell me more, but I don't have it in front of me at the
moment.

Please note that the CTL-Y without a stop just interrupts the
"execution" which will continue until either a STOP or another image
activation.
