I've looked at some transpilers, like f2c. The generated code is not
generally really human readable. Mainteance by updating the original
code and retranspiling is typically prefered to trying to understand
or maintain the resulting code.
These tools address needs where a compiler is available only in
the second language, not where the user doesn't know the original
language.
I can't imagine automating BLISS to C and getting readly human read
results.
