[Info-vax] HP e-mail hacked

I'm sure most of you know this by now, but for the record.....

It appears that one or more HP customer e-mail address databases have been 
compromised. I have a few different e-mail addresses I use for 
correspondence with HP - one for ITRC, another of general info mailings, and 
so on. This way I can use the address as a way of filtering mail from HP 
into the correct mailboxes at my end. It also makes it easy to see where 
spam originates (at least whose address lists have become compromised).

Anyway, it appears that all of HP's customer mailing lists are now being 
used for spam as I am receiving spam sent to all the e-mail addresses I use 
with HP.

It figures....... from the gang that couldn't compute straight.
