Ha, that was a good one.

Seriously, I consider it to be a real shame that Alpha "previously" was the leader in this area only a decade ago then that position was squandered. Just like the fable of the "tortoise and the hare", non-technical people with big egos found themselves in a position of control, believed their own B.S., then slept while the rest of the industry caught up then surpassed them.

That is why (for all practical purposes) you need at least a Pentium-4 or higher to contribute to projects like BOINC or folding-at-home. (I am a huge fan of both)

On a related note, in what universe was it correct to kill Alpha while allowing SPARC to live? Man, I feel like I'm living in the twilight zone.
