The Macro compiler is written in Macro-32 (uses the same pass1 parser as the 
VAX Macro-32 assembler), C, and BLISS.

The BLISS frontend is BLISS.

GEM is a mixture of BLISS, C, and C++.  (I'd say 60/40 in favor of BLISS)
