Still, one would want to port to an AMD CPU not a CPU from has been
chip maker Intel. The AMD quad cores rock and are already 128-bit.
Itanic was simply HP and Intel trying to force VMS users to pay for
their multi-million (multi-billion?) dollar boondoggle.
I still expect 2 things to happen.
1) HP to make yet another appearance before yet another Congressional
committee.
2) HP being forced into either the Open Source release or (more
likely) the sale of OpenVMS. I'm 80% certain the buyer will come from
China if the platform is sold.
