This is the first document that provides real (non marketing
gobbledeegook) information. Many thanks.
I am interested thought in finding out what is different between the
C-class chassis/blades used for NonStop and the ones uses for HP-UX/VMS.
are the blade cards with CPU the same ? if not, what is different ?
It *looks* like HP is using its standard C class enclosures and blade
boards with slightly different firmware and some peripheral modules to
add the management and fault detection logic. Is that the case ?
Also, out of curiosity, would Tandem customers really want to take 4
different cabinets with 4 CPUs each and merge them into a single Class
blade system with all 16 processors in one box ? Seems to me that
having all their eggs in one blade enclosure seems more risky than
having at least 2 separate systems.
