Then VMS should not complain about gmail since, if the gateway is
properly set, SMTP should simply forward it to the orange server and let
the later worry about delivery to gmail.
the only thing SMTP does is check againt the list of local domains
(forget exact file name but it is in TCPIP$SMTP_COMMON: ) and if it
isn't local, it then delivers it to range.
Again, if you enable the symbiont tracing, you'll see exactly what the
VMS software tries to do.
