Turns out the customer's DS300 is gone but the info is still online on
their Alpha.  That was the second to last 'classic' DECserver still in
use (we still use a DS200 for a dialin/dialout modem here for the
sites that still make us use a modem!).

SH1601ENG.SYS, The installed version is DS3022, DECserver 300 V2.2 and
I still have release notes for V1.0 and V2.0.  Apparently the V1.0
release did not include TCPIP capabilities but the V2.0 and subsequent
did.

which clearly calls out TCPIP capabilities. Maybe you need to update ;)
