Freephone directory enquiries for the US.
However, the 555 area code is also reserved for use by fictional programs
set in the US, so that real customer phone numbers are not used by mistake.
I've just had a look around and see Wikipedia has a writeup on it:

We are not much better in the UK, BTW. :-)
One of the Doctor Who S4 episodes included a fictional mobile number and
Ofcom reported over 2000 attempts to call the number.
