I think the problem is more fundamental than that and is shown by the
reduction in bcs revenues. The question is: Would I trust HP for long
term, reliable and consistent business critical kit ?.  After all the
mismanagement and board room conflict during the past few years, how
can professional managers and decision makers respect the company ?.
I might look elsewhere, perhaps to IBM, who just seem to keep ploughing
away the constant furrow, even though they may be much more expensive.

Reliability, trust and deliverables are everything to big business and
very difficult to rebuild once lost, especially when a company (still)
appears to be telling customers one thing while planning something
completely different in the background...
