I wasn't asking about software packages.  I was asking about things that 
can be done by writing software to do them.

No, I never used Message Router, but I have written several messaging 
systems.  One used a disk file to insure data could not be lost.  The 
other was an implementation of the RSTS/E messaging that I implemented 
on VMS using mailboxes.  I've also used socket communications for 
messaging.  It can be done.  It's not rocket science.

Speaking of messaging, I now have need of a simple process to process 
async message software on VMS.  Before I re-invent the wheel, anyone 
have anything to perform such?
