If it really is the system disk, you shouldn't have this command as part
of the startup.  Use such a command ONCE to create a shadow set, then 
put both physical devices into the boot-device console variable.  When 
you specify a device at boot, specify just one.  (Having the list 
enables an automatic boot if one member doesn't work, resulting in a 
one-member shadow set (assuming you have 2 altogether).)  The shadow set 
will be formed very early in the boot sequence.  Think about it: 
normally you don't MOUNT the system disk, since it is already known from 
the boot; same with a shadow set as the system disk.
