Remember too that you decided to...
...Start a museum of archaic gear.
...Ask for but then not follow the nuke-and-pave advice.
...Not post the code or the error messages for this most recent "got
errors" missive, but yet posted something that could be inferred as a
request for help

I can't yet tell if you're investing the time necessary for reading
through the wall of OpenVMS documentation. (Painful as that effort is,
too; it took me about a month to first read through The Orange Wall, an
eon or three ago.)

This effort reminds me of "retrocomputing tourism", a rather odd
phenomenon that I've been noticing around the 'net in recent years.
Whether you invest in your retrocomputing curation, and work toward
understanding and using the gear you've now collected - turning this
into a "living museum", rather than these snapshots of each system's
past - is entirely up to you. Whether these systems become 'net
accessable, or become development platforms, or whatever. (And this
"tourism" is not intended as a disparagement: there are a number of
folks around c.o.v. and #vms and nekochan that have collected various
old and odd VMS gear, some working and some not. Some collect
set-pieces and decoration. Some collect and rebuild servers.
Everybody needs a hobby.)
