I fear there's not much beyond XP900/1000.
In the Alpha universe there's no equivalent
to HP's C8000 or IBM's IntelliStation 185,
it seems.

What's so hard to understand here?
Something office-friendly, specifically designed to serve
as a graphics desktop. One might add:
with non-intel CPU and an OS not coming from Redmond :-)

That would be an XP900.
I don't know what its creators had in mind first,
server or workstation use.
But given its relatively low noise level and the
form factor (and colour) resembling the AlphaStation 500,
it looks more like a workstation.
Given its limited RAM slots (2GB max) it also
makes a rather poor server.

Well, I wouldn't count a bulky/noisy server with
a slapped-in graphics card as a real workstation.
