Thanks all, I think you're probably right.
This system was configured and installed by HP back when V8.2 was the
current VMS version; outside of some ECO updates nothing else has been
done. It is a remote site; they would either have to pay for a
service trip or engage local HP support to do the work. I would not
mind updating VMS to at least V8.3-1H1 if not V8.4 and firmware
updates are always good to have; just dangerous to try and do
remotely.
