A few practical purposes would be nice though.  With Rdb, you
will be limited to just 'playing around' and that usually does
not motivate me (combined with the poor job opportunities).

I'd then rather sharpen my knowledge with, say, the main Oracle
RDBMS, IBM DB/2, PostgreSQL or so.  (At least the last one can
be used without, or with far fewer, restrictions.)
