I have also been getting a lot of unwanted entries in my web logs from
Germany for a while. Seeing the HTTP requests involved, it appears that
the Russian and Eastern European bad guys are renting (or stealing?)
services in Germany.

Yes, I saw your photos the other day and while I liked the idea, I long
ago decided I couldn't do with so much noise. The crunch came one hot
summer when I had to leave my bedroom and home office doors open to get
a through draught for cooling and I could hear the racket of those
StorageWorks cabinets while in bed.
