I'm pretty sure there was a VWS Programming Manual (may have been
named something different) because I remember programming an interface
to it... Well, I'll back off from that a bit: SLAC's Unified Graphics
package had support for VWS, which I hooked into in order to send a
display buffer over Decnet from our 11/780 to my VS2000. Before we had
any sort of X11 support. :-)
If there wasn't a Manual, there was sufficient online help, but I'm
pretty sure I worked from a Manual...
