Well, yes I do have the kit. And I have installed it
on my own in-office test system. But we (the customer)
(still) uses the 2.2 client kit, since I never got the
version 6 to build cleanly.

Sorry. We use the MQSERVER logical name. It's defined in the startup
COM file process wide for each MQ detached server process.

I'm sure it would. But I never even got a clean build of
the supplied demo applications, so I never come close to
trying any connect.
Anyway, the new MQ interfaces are now in production since
a couple of weeks back using the old 2.2 client kit.
