You can disagree all you want.  You can also announce that the sky is orange.  Nobody is going to stop you.

But don't be surprised if others don't share your view.

The harsh reality is that HP doesn't care about VMS and nothing any of us do is going to stop it.  They've decided it isn't worth the effort and it will fade into obscurity.  It is their property and they've got the right to do that even if most of us would have preferred that it would have been kept up to date and competitive.
