I thin NSK will be put into its own fairly autonomous department that
will have both software and hardware.

Nop. They will have fault tolerant X86 based hardware. Not "off the
shelf" stuff.

HP has an internal estimate of the percentage of VMS customers who will
stay with HP. If they match or go avove that estimate, they will declare
it a "win". They have already written off most of the customer base.
