He does not creep me out anymore since his demise, which prevents him from molesting any more children. I think us of the VMS/Beatles generation ignored Micheal till he started making news for being really creepy. He's one of the big three (along with Elvis and the Beetles) who were able to put out a whole album of #1 hits. So I figured I would pay attention to his music a bit after his demise. I must confess, I am a bit of a fan now. He wrote some great protest songs .  He had a worldwide #1 hit (by some measures his biggest hit) that almost no one in the US has ever heard of (Earth Song).
