[Info-vax] VAX will live in the 30th century !

Watched a documentary about a 20th century guy who accidentally got
frozen and woken on in the 30th century where he gets a job at an
inter-planetary delivery company.

In the 30th century, one of the more popular TV soap operas is called
"All my Circuits". The principal actor is a robot called Calculon.
However, Calculon dies at one point.

But I found out today that he was replaced by a new actor called VAXtron.

While one could argue that VAXtron is a direct descendant of our own
VAXman, it can also be argued that VAXtron (being a robot) is a direcrt
descendent of VAX and that the architecture gets reborn some time
between now and the 30th century :-)


(For inquiring minds, the documentary is called Futurama, Season 7
episode 20 (on IMDB ) or Season 10 episode 7 on Netflix).

Interesting that the writers would know about the VAX and use it. (most
watchers woudn't know that VAX refers to a 20th century mini computer)
