No problem! Use BACKUP/IMAGE to copy the disk contents to a SAN device. It does not have to be the same size, as long as it is at least as big as the "old" disk.
Next you have to use wwidmgr on the console to configure the new boot device. It does have a somewhat steep learning curve, but on the other hand there are not too many commands and options. Read the manual first!
