Okay, unzipping them on the VAX did the trick. (Went faster than I
expected, too.) Turns out Steven was right and TCP/IP was already
installed, so I guess I just forgot. The Motif installation went
smoothly as well, and after taking a moment to register the license
PAK, it's now booting into DECWindows :)

Still a lot left to do with the other layered products and the
freeware CDs (and DOOM ;D) but this is a big step forward. Thanks a
bunch for all your help, everyone!
