I believe that's what he did, and ran into problems.

If I was to attempt the same, I feel certain that my ignorance of some 
things would quickly bite me and I'd be back here asking questions.

As an example, I am totally ignorant on the subject of disk class, and 
don't respond to that, I don't need to know and don't want to know.
