Thanks!

Oh, I love that! I discovered it by accident, sort of. I knew there
was regular autocomplete, but one day I just happened to dream up the
idea of using wildcards. So I tried it, and it worked! \(^_^)/

Well, if you change your mind about porting TO.COM, I don't need it
all. I just want to stop typing the same directories over and over
again and such, or opening lots of windows. Yes, there are all the
tricks, but I'd prefer it even easier, and mouse-free, especially
mouse-drag-free. Just having a command history with numbers that you
can use as arguments for cd and environment variables that you can use
for directories in commands would be very cool. The rest you can skip.
In detail:

One big part of it was dealing with the fact that I needed f$parse,
but it took a lot of effort to make it do what I wanted. For other VMS
stuff f$parse is pretty good. But not for this.

Also, I fixed the two major SET DEFAULT bugs, so you can skip that,
too.

I had to do a lot of work to make logical names work as well as they
do in TO.COM, and that, too, took a fair amount of effort, as there
are so many facets! And that, too, you can skip!

The two-step bit -- it might be nice, but not a biggie.

Oh, and I put in the function where you put the directory in the
prompt. I never wanted that for myself, but it seemed a popular thing
based on posts in this NG, so i added it. Myself, I prefer having the
hostname in the prompt. You can skip that, too.

And all the shortcuts are not needed.

Thanks!
