That would appear to be a GLX problem (assuming your "request code 154" is
really major opcode 154). Is totem trying to use features not supported by
your graphics card or graphics drivers ? Maybe the latest drivers are
broken or have been replaced by another type (ie: switched from either open
source or vendor supplied binaries to the other type) of graphics driver ?
Assuming a Ubuntu installation, it seems you are not the first one to
encounter this. Try reading the following and follow the links to see
