You can increase the size.  Your limiting factors then will include 
memory, page and swap file size, and such.

Set the new value for PRCLM in MODPARAMS.DAT, then run AUTOGEN up to but 
not including WRITEPARAMS to see what else AUTOGEN might want to change. 
  Experienced system managers don't like to let AUTOGEN change the page 
and swapfile sizes so be sure to set MODPARAMS.DAT to prohibit such changes.

If the new calculation is significant, then use the procedure to set the 
swap and page file sizes.  SYS$UPDATE:SWAPFILES.COM
