The last time you were working on getting this stuff, you got as for as 
"on-synchronizing".

AFAIK, DECnet is not officially available over DSSI, and I know of no 
documentation for getting CNDRIVER working with DSSI, and AFAIK no 
support.

There's no DSSI device configuration listed in 
<http://h71000.www7.hp.com/doc/73final/documentation/pdf/decnet_ovms_net_man.pdf>. 
 Not by a search for "DSSI", at least.

Diagnostics and Utilities Protocol (DUP) is around on DSSI (via SET 
HOST /DUP, FYDRIVER, et al), but not AFAIK host-to-host DECnet.
