Individula files can be marked as erase-on-delete, as can whole volumes.

When erase-on-delete is in use on the file or the volume and a file is 
deleted, its contents are erased.

Use Google or Bing to search the h71000.www7.hp.com server for "erase 
on delete" and start reading.
