Likely Advanced Server — sometimes known as Advanced Server for Unix.
Advanced Server was the generation between PATHWORKS and CIFS/Samba, on
OpenVMS.

Same general experience here, too. DAT/DDS worked adequately for
low-volume work and non-critical stuff, but the cartridges weren't that
much past single-use. More than a few of the drives got swapped, and
more than a few cartridges were either write-only, or wrapped
themselves around a capstan somewhere.
