[Info-vax] [OpenVMS Alpha V8.3] How to recover a corrupted PCSI database?

On our OpenVMS Alpha V8.3 (with some recent ECOs) testsystem (aka no backups)
a simple ECO installation obviously corrupted our PCSI database.
Every PRODUCT INSTALL or PRODUCT REMOVE brings now an ACCVIO (details later).
A PRODUCT SHOW/FULL PRODUCT or PRODUCT SHOW HISTORY shows no error at all!
(I'm unsure with PRODUCT SHOW HIST as I think there is a line missing)
PRODUCT SHOW OBJECT shows only the usual "conflict" messages of UPDATE ECO.
And finally a PRODUCT ANALYZE PDB unveils no error!!
Is there a better way than reinstalling the system (and all LPs) or maybe
following Hoff's old advice http://openvms.compaq.com/wizard/wiz_2434.html
(as this was 1999 and PCSI utility hopefully got improved in the meantime)?
Many TIA
