Now what you originally posted may not get read by many.

When you reply to a message, it is very important to trim off any 
signatures from the original message.

There is a specific sequence to start a signature known by most mail 
programs that is a "-- " at the beginning of a line.

As that is known to be the signature, on a reply that will be considered 
duplicated content by some mail rendering software, so it will not be 
displayed by default.

Thunderbird displayed your reply as a very light gray, which makes it 
look like you replied to a message and did not post any additional content.
