IBM Global Services has some VMS expertise, in support of their
multi-vendor Services business, just as HP has expertise in mainframe,
AIX, Oracle/Sun, Cisco, EMC, etc. products in support of its own
multi-vendor Services business. I have friends who work in IBM Global
Services and look forward to meeting them when they come to OpenVMS Boot
Camp 2013 in March to learn the latest info about VMS. I also know from
personal experience that when IBM hits the limits of their in-house
expertise, they call in HP Services to help with our joint customers,
because HP has far more (and deeper) VMS expertise in Services than IBM,
not to mention OpenVMS Engineering itself.
