Yes, I am interested. My real contact name is David Lethe (david at santools.com)
My phone is 972 618 2265.
What I really want to do is get a layer of middleware for database integration in a multi-platform environment. BUT OpenVMS is a priority. I absolutely must have security and tolerance for transmission errors and such.
This is also going to be for resale. Not a lot of options out there as GPL licensing is out of the question, so what I cobbled together years ago using IP/UDP sockets and SQLITE was ok for proof of concept, but I never released it because of some concerns I had about it being "enterprise class".
As you are certainly aware, there is a short list of commercial products that play in OpenVMS, and a few MIT/BSD licensed products that are adaptable for such things so I'd like to understand how "rugged" and portable your code is and whether or not it could be adapted for use as a transport mechanism that would work in the Windows/UNIX world.
ADO.NET + RMS is absolutely attractive, as a one-off specific to OpenVMS, but I really want a lightweight cross-platform secure mechanism that can be the foundation for adding a database layer.
Anyway I'll be in and out today and reach out to you as well if you can't get me. I noticed you are an attorney, so if you want to send me a mutual NDA I'll tell you more.
