Please take the time to read through the OpenVMS User's Manual (in HTML
<http://h71000.www7.hp.com/doc/731final/6489/6489pro.html>, in PDF
<http://h71000.www7.hp.com/doc/731final/documentation/pdf/ovms_731_users.pdf>)
for an introduction to using DCL and DCL command procedures, in general
please forget what you know about programming Unix shell scripts as
OpenVMS is very different, and please also read "Getting Answers"
<http://www.mikeash.com/getting_answers.html> for some background on
the sorts of information that can be required when seeking to have your
questions answered.
For this question, you'll want to show those commands and what's in
that DCL command procedure you've written, what command you used to
invoke this ".sh" file — .COM would be more typical on OpenVMS — and
what error messages you received. In general posting the OpenVMS
version abd architecture can help, as some sequences are version- or
architecture specific.
