That's not how it works. :-) VMS publishes, say, a TCP/IP based open API
which can be used for remote job submission and someone on a Unix box
writes a program to call that API. It's called open standards. :-)

Yes, I am aware of that.
The implicit assumption was that there was some authentication process.
