I presume you don't count diskless machines with the system (root
partition) NFS mounted.
With the traditional (and still recommended) hard mount, an NFS client
will wait forever for its server to come back.
(I once sold a machine that others still had mounted. Had to reboot
those clients, as the server was never coming back.)
