Ha, we have totally different usage patterns. :-)
I never print photographs, all my viewing is electronics/PC based.
I also move around pictures as individual files, not as sets on a CD.
Also, given the size of SD cards, I never bother trying to work out which
is the best of a series of images by looking them on the camera screen
itself at the time of shooting; I only use the camera screen as a quick
check I got at least one good picture.
If I am in a awkward posture or otherwise unsure of what I am shooting,
I just shoot multiple copies and choose the best one(s) later as it's a lot
easier to do that on a large desktop screen than a tiny camera LCD screen.

I actually buy CDs as well as I prefer having the physical media around.
It's just that the first (and only) thing I do with it is to rip it before
storing it away. The encoding bitrate I choose depends on what's on the CD.
