I actually still use terminals. For normal work, I use DECterms (on a
VMS machine, of course), but consoles for nodes in the cluster are
terminals. Also, for standalone test machines I have a terminal as the
console. I am thus independent of anything running emulation and
low-level stuff (such as an unexpected baud rate) is easier to sort out
with a terminal.
