MSKermit is not a windows program, it's a DOS program. I run it on
extremely old Compaq and Zenith laptops to use strictly as terminals.
It has the advantage of being able to do scripting and prompted text
sending. That's great for loading in that oddball bootstrap using ODT.

The only problem I ever ran into was a graphics problem and wasn't really
MSKermits fault. The University had a bunch of PC's they bought on the
cheap from a local company that used a bargain basement video card. Seems
this card was based on an earlier card and when they changed the capabilities
they did not change the identity string in the PROM so everytime it tried
to go into wide mode it blew the video away completely. Fixing it was
one of the first things I did when they University hired me. Politics
kept my fixed version of MSKermit fromever being deployed. :-)
