I just recently learned, that I only have 3 internet options here at home:
DSL from one ISP, maxing out at 8MBit/s (for EUR 5.-)
or Cable from arrogant ISP - which doesn't allow me to run my own servers
(DNS, SMTP, FTP, NNTP, ...) - maxing out at 100MBit/s (for EUR 50.-)
or (unstable) Mobile Internet - curr. maxing out at 12MBit/s (EUR 18.-)

That isn't really a big offer (near the center of a 2 million people city)...
