Early ethernet development as well. Dec were giants in terms of
funding for basic research and the standards that we all take for
granted now.
There was an article in the register recently about the Apple Lisa,
suggesting that they were responsible for all the significant
developments in gui and graphics, but there were E&S cpmplex
graphics systems running on Dec system 10 in 1969 or so. Something
about apple crown jewels, but Si=utherland and Cohen patented their
line clipping algorithm in 1972.
Apple: Standing on the shoulders of giants more like...
