Jouk,

if you have a software contract for OpenVMS with HP, you can certainly
raise a call for this problem. Whether HP decides this to be a
firmware problem and refuses to fix the firmware or whether HP tries
to provide a workaround or even put a workaround into OpenVMS, will be
seen.

If any of your systems are affected (you were talking about the
XP1000, AlphaServer 2000 and DWPS500 earlier), please raise a call
with HP.
