Consider to use: PRINT/RETAIN=ERROR or set the queue to /RETAIN=ERROR.
Your description sounds like the print-job is being aborted due to
some error after a couple of seconds. Consider to post a SHOW QUEUE/
FULL/ALL output after a print job has failed.
