It does?  Sorry, I still see nothing but dashes and double-quotes.
I see nothing that would tell me the output was going to be a date-
time string.

Someone who is intimately familiar with theat particular function
would ikely understand it but then, the exact same is true of the
Unix example Hoff posted.  It is, as has been said at least a
thousand times, what the viewer is familiar with.  VMS people find
Unix cryptic and Unix people are going to find VMS just as cryptic.
Someone recently brought up the "english" aspect again.  Just what
in the example above is "english" other than the word "filename".
