They may have been up to a few months ago, but then a couple of things
happened:

1) Mr Snowden revealed what the NSA has been up to.
2) All the responses focused on the protections given to US citizens
without any discussion of protections for the innocent people in the
other 95% of the world's population.

After that, the idea of US based cloud infrastructure has been killed
stone dead for any serious use, especially here in Europe.

PS: And no, I don't like what GCHQ, who have become the NSA's lapdog,
have been up to either in supporting US policy.

PPS: There is now a _serious_ trust issue with US manufacturers in
general over here, given all the possible backdoors which have been
inserted into their products.
